Brand and Expand Workshop Series Launched in Houston!

No need to worry, in a response to the influx of questions from people eager to start their own brands or obtain media coverage for their current businesses, a solution was formed. Brand and Expand was designed for savvy professionals looking to enhance their message, brand their business and gain favorable press. Houstonians Vannessa Wade and Sarni Jaye have teamed up for an evening of interactive media training fun that’s sure to ignite business! Their clients have been featured in Entrepreneur, O Magazine, Today.com, Vocus and The Oprah Winfrey Show, and their list of clients range from trendsetters to community leaders and influencers.
Attendees will learn how to write press releases that attract the attention of the media and build a trusted brand. The evening also features Houston Chronicle reporter and founder of I Know Someone Houston, Elizabeth Pudwill, who shares the secrets to creating buzz-worthy press! Learn the components to a successful brand and media relations campaign that will catch the eyes of reporters to position your business in front of the masses.
In this interactive class, attendees will participate in the production of a press release, media kit and dive into branding strategies from start to finish. The first event to be held on May 20th sold out within days. Due to demand, additional dates will be added in Austin and Houston.
Vannessa Wade is an award-winning publicist and founder & CEO of Connect The Dots PR. She is a graduate of the University of Houston with a BA in Communications and has been featured in numerous newspaper, TV and radio segments. Vannessa has also appeared in Entrepreneur, Ebony, New York Magazine and a host of other national publications. From the halls of the U.S. Office of Presidential Correspondence at The White House, to UNICEF, to O Magazine, Vannessa has been able to create effective public relations strategies that have helped her clients become household names.
Elizabeth Pudwill is a California native who migrated to Houston in 1996. She joined the Houston Chronicle in 1997 and started writing her iconic Kitchen to Kitchen column in 2004. Elizabeth won a Jesse award from the Houston Chronicle for her outstanding contribution. Due to her success helping people form valuable connections, she founded a non-profit organization, I Know Somebody (IKS) Houston. IKS is a networking group that boasts a membership of hundreds of powerful and passionate professionals.
Sarni Jaye received her B.S. in Journalism from the prestigious Medill School of Journalism and her master’s degree from the University of Houston. She combined her media expertise with her desire to help people grow, entering a field where both skills are essential–PR and brand development. She has worked with brands featured on top media outlets such as Oprah and helped them to further expand their value, recognition and reach.
